Suki is an sweet 2-year-old Mazda3. She has been brutalized repeatedly by thugs eager to penetrate her innocence.

The $1800 door dent caused by repeated theft attempts exploiting the manufacturing fault.

The manufacturing flaw left her an easy target

Suki is a 2006 Mazda 3 living in a Candian City. This is her story

  • January 5, 2008: Her owner walks out to her in the morning only to find all his possessions strewn about the car. The thief was looking only for money as CD's, and other items were not taken. The glove box (which was locked) was forced open and damaged.
  • January 12, 2008 (rough date): Suki's owner receives the infamous Mazda letter informing him that some Mazda 3 owners have complained and offering to reinforce the doors.
  • January 22, 2008: Suki has been forcefully entered again. Nothing was stored in the car, but glove box and console were left open.
  • Febuary 20, 2008: Suki goes into Mazda dealership to be "fixed". The owner is told roughly what is being done, but does not receive any receipt for the service (even though he asks for one). he is told one will be mailed to him (which is never done).
  • Febuary - March 2008: The door dent has gotten larger from more attempts. It is now at $1800 to fix the driver`s side door.
  • April 2008: Suki's owner has written Mazda Canada explaining the problem. Mazda Canada phoned and the matter was discussed. They refuse to cover any costs and called the matter a "criminal act" that should be covered by insurance. They refuse to acknowledge the manufacturing fault whatsoever!
